I read San Luis Obispo, California was named the happiest city in America...the perfect place for this cheery home photographed by Joe Johnston! It's pretty obvious some very creative souls live here. Homeowner Lindsey Cheney is the blogger and handcrafted accessories designer behind The Pleated Poppy, something to definitely check out. I'm loving the colorful and open family room and kitchen–especially the collection of globes! The family actually spends 90% of their time in the playroom though. It's Lindsey's sewing, crafting and blogging room, and her husband also runs his business partly from it. Their 3 kids not only play in the room, they are homeschooled there too!
