This Martha's Vineyard home may not be all about turquoise, but it is all about color! The homeowner, interior designer Carol Vietor, recently said goodbye to a beloved (but rundown) cottage that was in her family for generations. She worked with architect Louise Brooks of Brooks and Falotico when designing her family's brand new summer getaway, and filled it with the same quirks and charm of the old home. Her three insistent daughters requested a lot stay the same (we can be like that, right?? Change is hard!) but she managed to update the look with fun ikat patterns and fabrics from John Robshaw and Roberta Roller Rabbi. I love the eclectic, warm feel of the home...definitely a place where memories are made!! Read the neat story behind the home and see more photos by Michael Partenio over at New England Home!
